Cloud Nine

My first large scale drawing to date. (Its about 1+ meter wide)
This one is titled Cloud Nine. :) We just got it back from the frame shop today and put it up in the living room. Quite happy with how it turned out.

Goodbye planty :(

Some days back, we said goodbye to one of our pretty plants. :(
We had bought it for the house during the CNY and it had been doing pretty well for some time, blooming nice pretty flowers often.
That was till it was struck and attacked by stinky white files, who were sucking the life out of it. :( And leaving a mess behind at the same time.
Why.. these *@#$%&*! files!! *shakes fists at them*

Went online looking for a cure, but it seems like the infestation was in a rather bad stage already. It wasn't really apparent at a glance, just that some of the leaves were looking rather limp but when you looked under the leaves, ewww.. you could see the colonies! Gross...

Oh well, so Mr D decided that the plant had to go, less it infects all the other ones that we had. And its pretty gross knowing there's an infested pot of plant in your house as well. :S So... bye bye planty! :(

A leap year

I thought that I would blog today since it was a leap year.
Hahahha... just so that I have an entry dated today :P

Anyway, here's some updates for this month that I had left out earlier.

First up, the present that I made for mummy's birthday coz i was too ill then to go out to buy her one. hehehhe... making things always make me feel better anyway. :)


Then also the new lampshade that i made for our room.
Ok.. maybe I didn't make it, but i doodled on it! hahah...


And here's a look at our new bedsheet that we got for Chinese New Year.
I like this pattern! :)


Hahaha.. and also here's the sweet and sour pork that Mr D cooked a few weeks ago.
He suddenly was really keen in preparing this dish. It turned out very well. Looks good right? Good job! :) Yummy!

Lights!

Here's a look at the lights we bought for our new place.
I'm not really one for ceiling mounted lights...I like pendant lights, coz to me, they're a lot more interesting.
I especially like the shadows and lights they cast up on the ceiling! Hahaha... but then, that may be just me.
We took quite a while to find what we both liked.
After lots of tired necks and shoulders and measuring balestier rd, we finally found them! =)
