Goodbye Piggy
Mr. Putt-putt
June 2002 - 28th Feb 2006
Today is a sad day for the zoo at home...as we bid farewell to Putt-putt.
He was a shy and sweet piggy. He was also my first guinea piggy.
Sigh, its always so sad to loose a little friend.
You'll be missed by us all!
Goodbye piggy!

What Temperment Are You?
You Have a Phlegmatic Temperament |
Mild mannered and laid back, you take life at a slow pace. You are very consistent - both in emotions and actions. You tend to absorb set backs easily. You are cool and collected. It is difficult to offend you. You can remain composed and unemotional. You are a great friend and lover. You don't demand much of others. While you are quiet, you have a subtle wit that your friends know well. At your worst, you are lazy and unwilling to work at anything. You often get stuck in a rut, without aspirations or dreams. You can get too dependent on others, setting yourself up for abandonment. |

What is Love?
What an appropriate day (with today being Valentine's Day) to ponder on this thought.
I guess that's what true love really is... and I have to say, its not easy.
Just like the proverb in Shakespeare's 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' which was my literature text when I was in Secondary school, "THE COURSE OF TRUE LOVE NEVER DID RUN SMOOTH"
I somehow remember this line in my mind and cannot agree more with it.
Problems may crop up even in the most passionate of courtships and the best marriages.
But if we bear in mind the above, about what love is, and work towards it together, that's when we'll be able to make it through the rough storms.

Of Trains and Art
Chanced upon a really interesting site today that shows how the different train/metro lines around the world spruce up their stations with art. Isn't it nice to be waiting on platforms like these and making your way to work through stations like these?
How inspiring!
And it also says that there's evidence that vandalism diminishes in appealing stations because works of art and good designs are widely respected. Wow! :)
Check out these interesting stations.

All Work Is Play
As Ernest Wood says, "It is deadly fear of the morrow that makes man's work a toil, that makes him sweat in bitterness. But the law of life says: "Do the wise and right thing today, and leave the result to take care of itself." This is not a doctrine of idleness, but of work that is play instead of toil.
An illustration of this is to be seen in the way in which different people take a long journey. One man will get into the train and remain in a fever of impatience until he reaches his destination. He has fixed his mind on something that he wants to do there; in the meantime his journey is a toil and a misery. While another knows how to use and enjoy the scenery, the people, and even the train itself."

Happy Birthday Momsy
Momsy's birthday just went by.
My sis sent flowers, which was a nice surprise for the Momsy. :)
(The sis is in Melbourne you see, so flowers from someone so far away is of course a pleasent surprise!)
It was a nice pot of flowers... yes, a pot. And a rather heavy pot too I must say!
Here's some looks at the pretty flowers and Momsy's other little cards and presents.
