X'mas Tea Party

A day after Christmas, went to Barbara's house for a small Tea Party.
I was looking foward to it coz I wanted to see her two fat cats which I had heard so much about. Plus also to play with her cute girl, Hannah.

I thought Barbara had a really nice cozy place. Its was full of cat ornaments here and there.
How nice! We had lots of homemade yummy bites to feast on too!

Then, I got to see the two cats: Tigger and Buffy.

Look at Tigger! Doesn't he just look so sweet?

Oh my... I've never seen such big and beautiful cats before. I just had to put up a post about them!
Tigger is a Persian cross, so his fur's all nice and puffy and he's got a nice pink nose.
Buffy's a local cat that they rescued many years ago.
Buffy looked like an owl. He's almost all white just for a few small patches of light brown on his face and a perfect brown striped tail. They were both really sweet natured and shy.
Oh boy... want a cat! Plus the 3 fatsos at work everyday... Yup... I'll really consider getting a cat one day.

Merry Christmas!

A Merry Christmas to one and all!
Here's a look at the Xmas tree for this year. =)
(There's a nice amount of presents are under it.)

Wow, it seems like the year has just zipped by and now it's coming to an end soon.
Its sure feels fast to me.
I love Christmas. Its my favourite holiday since I was a kid.
But strangly, this year doesn't feel very 'Christmasy' to me.
Maybe its coz my sis and D are not around.
A quiet Christmas for me this year.

X'mas Shopping

Oh wow.... Christmas is right around the corner! Its a week away!
And the crazed yearly Christmas shopping routine is in full swing in all malls around the island!
The shops are staying open till midnight to meet the demands of the crazed, frenzied buying of presents. Little gift items and gift boxes are flying off the shelves. Everyone has to get gifts for the people in office, for gift exchange, for friends and family, etc....

I generally like the spirit of Christmas. This nice cheery holiday feel in the air.
But what I really hate is the shopping with the crowds.
I don't know if this happens to you too, but every year, I tell myself, "This year, I will shop early so I will not get caught with the last minute frantic shoppers." And looky at me, I'm still doing my Christmas shopping! Aaaa..... I was still in Orchard Road today wondering what to get for who! When will I ever learn!?

All this crazed shoppers, plus bell ringing and store pipped Christmas carols plus the brainstorming of what to get always rewards me with a nice big headache at the end of the day. And to make matters worse, I have to go through it again coz I've still got some more on my list to get for!

*Makes a mental note: Next year... next year I will shop early so I will not get caught with the last minute frantic shoppers.

X'mas Light Up

We've been so busy lately preparing for D's trip to the US. Buying all the last minute stuff that he needs. Time passes so fast and now Christmas is just round the corner.

Walking up and down amongst the crowds along Orchard Road is a nightmare!
Although all the hustle and bustle does kind of add to the holiday season. I managed to stop and get some pictures of the X'mas light up though.

The move...

Today is my first day in a new work place! I officially moved my stuff over the weekend with help from D. Hmm.... it feels like a new chapter.... (many new chapters for me this year yah?) I hope things will look up a bit now. Its kind of sad moving out from the old place. I've been there for.... hmm... about say 2 years already. Its good to have a new change of environment I guess. Its not that I don't like my old place...
Here are some pics of it...
-Its got a high celing-

-That was my nice seating area--My work station, hehe... after 2 years, it was starting to get kinda messy-

-That's the view I had from my seat-

but I think I needed this move to get me out from the OMO working mode, which was taking a toil on me. And the whiffs of cooked food from the caterers downstairs were beginning to annoy me.
So here I am now, in my new place... which is also nice. (Its got those wooden floorings.) Plus I've got 3 fat kitties here to keep me entertained too!

Well, a new place, a new start...
