X'mas Tea Party

A day after Christmas, went to Barbara's house for a small Tea Party.
I was looking foward to it coz I wanted to see her two fat cats which I had heard so much about. Plus also to play with her cute girl, Hannah.

I thought Barbara had a really nice cozy place. Its was full of cat ornaments here and there.
How nice! We had lots of homemade yummy bites to feast on too!

Then, I got to see the two cats: Tigger and Buffy.

Look at Tigger! Doesn't he just look so sweet?

Oh my... I've never seen such big and beautiful cats before. I just had to put up a post about them!
Tigger is a Persian cross, so his fur's all nice and puffy and he's got a nice pink nose.
Buffy's a local cat that they rescued many years ago.
Buffy looked like an owl. He's almost all white just for a few small patches of light brown on his face and a perfect brown striped tail. They were both really sweet natured and shy.
Oh boy... want a cat! Plus the 3 fatsos at work everyday... Yup... I'll really consider getting a cat one day.

Merry Christmas!

A Merry Christmas to one and all!
Here's a look at the Xmas tree for this year. =)
(There's a nice amount of presents are under it.)

Wow, it seems like the year has just zipped by and now it's coming to an end soon.
Its sure feels fast to me.
I love Christmas. Its my favourite holiday since I was a kid.
But strangly, this year doesn't feel very 'Christmasy' to me.
Maybe its coz my sis and D are not around.
A quiet Christmas for me this year.

X'mas Shopping

Oh wow.... Christmas is right around the corner! Its a week away!
And the crazed yearly Christmas shopping routine is in full swing in all malls around the island!
The shops are staying open till midnight to meet the demands of the crazed, frenzied buying of presents. Little gift items and gift boxes are flying off the shelves. Everyone has to get gifts for the people in office, for gift exchange, for friends and family, etc....

I generally like the spirit of Christmas. This nice cheery holiday feel in the air.
But what I really hate is the shopping with the crowds.
I don't know if this happens to you too, but every year, I tell myself, "This year, I will shop early so I will not get caught with the last minute frantic shoppers." And looky at me, I'm still doing my Christmas shopping! Aaaa..... I was still in Orchard Road today wondering what to get for who! When will I ever learn!?

All this crazed shoppers, plus bell ringing and store pipped Christmas carols plus the brainstorming of what to get always rewards me with a nice big headache at the end of the day. And to make matters worse, I have to go through it again coz I've still got some more on my list to get for!

*Makes a mental note: Next year... next year I will shop early so I will not get caught with the last minute frantic shoppers.

X'mas Light Up

We've been so busy lately preparing for D's trip to the US. Buying all the last minute stuff that he needs. Time passes so fast and now Christmas is just round the corner.

Walking up and down amongst the crowds along Orchard Road is a nightmare!
Although all the hustle and bustle does kind of add to the holiday season. I managed to stop and get some pictures of the X'mas light up though.

The move...

Today is my first day in a new work place! I officially moved my stuff over the weekend with help from D. Hmm.... it feels like a new chapter.... (many new chapters for me this year yah?) I hope things will look up a bit now. Its kind of sad moving out from the old place. I've been there for.... hmm... about say 2 years already. Its good to have a new change of environment I guess. Its not that I don't like my old place...
Here are some pics of it...
-Its got a high celing-

-That was my nice seating area--My work station, hehe... after 2 years, it was starting to get kinda messy-

-That's the view I had from my seat-

but I think I needed this move to get me out from the OMO working mode, which was taking a toil on me. And the whiffs of cooked food from the caterers downstairs were beginning to annoy me.
So here I am now, in my new place... which is also nice. (Its got those wooden floorings.) Plus I've got 3 fat kitties here to keep me entertained too!

Well, a new place, a new start...

All a blur

Time is passing so fast that the days, weeks and months that have gone by are all a passing blur. Many places and events have come and gone by... Christmas is just round the corner.
I realised I haven't blogged for quite a while now. 24 hours dun seem enough for me!
Gee, so much to do, so little time....
My sister came and went back. (And hey, we didn't even take a pic together... see, now I have no pics to put up here!) It was fun having her back, even though it didn't seem very long. Now will have to wait another year before we next meet again.

Meanwhile, let me load up some pigtures of the 'Super Cute One' taken recently!

Along with me sis, came Hops n Yoyo too!
Here they are posing for a pigture with the '
Super Cute One'

Here she is
as 'Pot O'pig'! Looking cute as usual... (in a nice pot my sis got in Bangkok)

2 months

Thursday marked 2 months of me and D being together. Funny though, it sure seems to feel way longer than that in some way. But what can I say, it has been a great 2 months! Of going places and enjoying each other's company. I sure do look foward to more great days together!

Went to Olive Ristorante@Labrador Park for dinner today.
Nice place, nice food and a good ambience. After dinner, took a walk around the park (its actually rather big!) as we both have not been there before.
There was a jetty there and we walked there to watch the uncles fishing and that brought thoughts of Trikora back to me. Miss that place...wonder when will we get to go there again.

Hello Sister!

The sis comes back from Melbourne for a visit here today! :) Yipee!!
Her flight might even be landing right now as I type!
Haven't seen her for slightly less than a year, so its a little exciting!
(The goodies in her luggage are probably as exciting! Hehheeh)

Something to look foward to tonight!

A Big Storm

Worked on resloving some issues today which I told my self I had to get about doing sooner or later. Its always been at the back of my head, bugging/haunting me subconciously I think.
And I am glad I did! So now, I have to start putting the other plans into action, one at a time, hoping they will all fall into place nicely.

It stormed tonight on my way home. Thunder, lightning, gusty winds and all that rain! Bbbrrrr...... Its been a long time since I've been caught outdoors with a storm like that. Weather like that just makes me wish I was at home, all cozy, nice and warm.

D came to the MRT station with a big brolly to accompany me home! Haha... silly.... but sweet! :P
Its nice to walk in the rain together (that is when you are under a BIG brolly!)

Trikora, Bintan

Back from a fabulous break on Bintan!
A trip that I was looking foward to very much and boy, did I enjoy every minute of our stay in the rustic resort. Wish the stay could have been longer though, but well, its a good experience and I hope that we'll be back there again some time. (Not forgetting that the trip was also part of D's birthday celebration too!)

This is probably the first time I have gone on a trip without any involvement in the planning. The only things we knew was that we were going on a trip to Bintan and what time we had to board the ferry and that was it!

Had many questions before the trip... Where were we staying at? How did the place look like? Facilities? Toilets? Water? Towels? Ha... all we were told was that the place was rustic. Hrm... That wasn't very helpful and we began thinking thoughts of small wooden huts along some deserted beach. Oh, would we be feeding the mosquitoes there then?

Anyways, Friday morning, we boarded the ferry from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal (after getting our tickets
that were pre-booked for us) and were on our way. It was pretty exciting not really knowing exactly which part of Bintan we were supposed to be putting up at. I just knew that someone called Iskandar would meet us there when we arrived. Ooh...exciting.... D said it was like being on Amazing Race. Haha!

Just as the ferry pulled into Tanjong Pinang Ferry Terminal I got an SMS from Iskandar. It said he was waiting for us at the terminal exit and he was in a yellow T-shirt... and our 'Amazing Race' continues to unfold...
Iskandar turned out to be a nice guy who spoke rather good english. He told us that a vehicle had been arranged for us to take us to our 'rustic stay'. Clue: The resort was in an area called Trikora. He also arranged our homeward bound tickets for us before walking us to our driver who would get us to our stay. What good service!

Now, here's a bit about driving and traffic on Bintan...
1. Only the rider on a motorbike needs a helmet
2. Motorbikes are the perfect transport for a family of 3 (1 helmet still!)
3. You may ride you bike on the center of the road with your family of 3 on it
4. You can get around without a side view mirror
5. There's no need to speed up when overtaking traffic on single lane roads (even if oncoming traffic is approaching ahead!)

After our eye-opening drive of about 45 minutes, passing severals famlies of 3 on their rickety motorbikes, rustic villages, tress and more trees and plots of empty lands, we arrive at our destination:
Trikora, Guridam Resort!
Lovely place! We were amazed when we were shown to small chalets that were built on high stilts out above the sea!

Roamed around the resort after lunch, played a few rounds of pool, then headed out and took a walk along the beach at evening time when the low tide was far out. It was real nice and peaceful to just stroll along together. Its so quiet that when you stopped and listened, you could hear the sounds of many small crabs digging in the damp sea bed! D thought that sound was creepy! heehee... When it started to get dark, we headed back for our BBQ dinner which we had ordered earlier. Yummy!!

Karen and co arrived with D's birthday cake! Birthday celebration in Bintan with cake from Singapore! Wow! How often do you get that?! After cake and chats, D found a fishing instructor a.k.a Jason and tried his hand at fishing. Patience paid off after one failed attempt and he did get a fish that night! But the poor fishy had to endure with some hard knocks though :S

The next morning, we went out to sea for more fishing and to take a look at an island opposite Trikora which we heard was rather nice! How exciting! I think I was the first to wake up as I wanted to catch the sunrise. It seemed like it was going to rain but luckily the clouds cleared up and the sun was soon beaming! So I grabbed the great chance for a quick tan outside the room before the rest of the bunch woke up for breakfast.

Breakfast was a quick one as we were all eager to set out on our boat trip. We piled all the equipment and people into the boat and were our way. The views were superbly breathtaking! The waters were clear and blue. We had to decide if we wanted to stop over on the beach or head out for fishing as there wasn't time for us to do both. :( We decided we'd try fishing after some thought so after leaving Karen and B off on the island (felt like they were some contestants on Survivor!!) we headed furthur out to sea to some good fishing spots to catch lunch.

Fishing was fun... Look at our catch...
Tried out several different fishing spots and soon it was time to head back to pick up the 'stranded ones'. I could not resist and had to take a fast dip into the clear blue water just as the boat pulled near the island.

After lunch, it was time for us to head back. I thought it was a great experience, although it felt a tad bit too short! Hope we'll be back again sometime!

D and me

Here's something I've been wanting to put up for a long time and have finally got about to doing it. Here's a drawing that D did for my birthday last month! :) I was pleasantly surprised by it. Its my com wallpaper now! Like it a lot...heh! Now... what should I do for his birthday....?? Its just a few days away! *Stress*

On Saturday, D and me went to Jay and Jean's wedding at Siglap. Its was a nice service. (I think they make a sweet couple!) Plus, I got to meet classmates and people that I've not seen for a long time!
After the wedding, we went shopping and look what we got....
Heeh.... Yupz! Couple shoes! :) We both like them! For one, they're comfy, second, they were a good buy and most importantly, they are the same!

Disappointment

You must be wondering what's the cause for me blogging again in just a short time apart.
Well, just had some thoughts I had to get out of my head.
D just told me that his year end trip has been confirmed and fixed as a 2 week one. Though I had not been having much high hopes of it being cut short, I can't help being unable to hide my disappointment. And it doesn't help that its during the holiday season but then again that's not very important anymore.
Just as I was saying in my earlier entry about bus trips seeming to be faster when taken together, I am now wondering if time will pass slower or come to a standstill being apart.
December 14th looms ahead right now and I think time will fly head long at high speed towards it. :(
They say absence makes the heart grow fonder..well, while I find some truth in that, it doesn't seem to make it any easier.

-rolling drops of
disappointment-

Its Saturday! (Again!!)

Been rather busy at work with new projects coming and and also finishing up delayed work from my recent 3 day MC break. That explains the break from blogging even. And oh looky...its Saturday once again! Its scary how when you are running something on your own, everything just comes to a standstill when you're away from work and all the clients start to freak out. Geez....not good...
Well, but I am gald that I am up and about once again! But sad to say that the wretched cough is still around though. Darn it. I really hope to get well soon!
Tomorrow is my old friend, Jeanette's wedding day. Hrmz...let's see, I haven't attended a wedding in a long while now, and also looking forward to seeing her all pretty in her gown!
Oh, and this week, me and D have found a common route to get to work together in the mornings. This makes travelling to work together seem so much shorter and it cheers me a little especially on days which I am dreading to go to work! :) Heehee....

Feeling much better!

Finally, after 3 days of feeling down in the dumps rottenly ill, I am finally feeling better today! (Beams a grin!) Except for my coughing that has not stopped yet. Can't wait for the phlegm factory to stop its production...eww, icky!
It was terrible. I think I have not been so ill in a long time. Spent almost 2 whole days in bed. And have not ventured out of my house for 3 days. My aching bones and eyes made me all grouchy and grumps. All I wanted to do was stay in bed and wrap myself up in my quilt and just snooze away. Heh...
I think I must have slept back all the hours of sleep that I've missed with my many late nights. Its strange how when you are ill, the more you sleep the more tired you feel and all that medication just adds to all that sleepiness. *Yawn*
Anyways, glad Momsy went on leave and nursed me back to my normal self and kept me company at home and D made evening visits when he got off work. :) Sweet..... Thanks! *Muacks!

Tomorrow, I will venture out and head back to work! Hope I won't fall asleep! :P

-just glad that I'm better...

Oh dear, I've fallen ill! Today's doodle of the day is exactly how I'm feeling right now.

My head aches, its hot and my bones feel real brittle, like they're going to snap any minute! Urghs... >.<>
Hope I'll be better by tomorrow....stoopid bug be gone! Shoo......

Corpse Bride

Another Tim Burton's hit.... Corpse Bride! Just watched it a while ago with D.
Nicely done and entertaining too. I enjoyed it.
With all sorts of quirky characters and equally quirky songs, just like Nightmare before Christmas. And Emily reminds me of Jane from Nightmare too.
Great animation and some 3D effects/animation this time round.

Let's see, I'll give it 4/5. Its worth a watch!

How fragile life is

This morning got to feel how fragile life can be from some sudden news.
One day you're up and about and the next, you're gone, snuffed out like a candle flame.
Geez, it sorta makes me cherish everyone and everything around me so much more. The importance of letting them know how much they really mean to you coz you might not always have the chance to say bye. That's how sudden it can be. And its really sad when I think of it, if you missed out letting them know how much they meant to you.

So, here's something to you from me:

I'm hoping you'll read this blog. I'm on the topic of "telling people how much they mean to you" and it relates to you and me. I'm one of those people who sometimes find it hard to say "I love you". I guess I always assume you know it, and that I don't need to say it. I also don't want to feel awkward or be embarrassed, so I tend to avoid telling you how I really feel. The truth is that I love you so much, and feel very lucky to have you in my life. Maybe this little announcement is unexpected. Perhaps you are surprised to begetting this from my blog. But now that I've told you this way, I hope to be able to tell you "I Love you" more often. I just wanted you to know. Okay, now that you do, you can go on with your surfing.

Monday blues...

-Doodle for the day-

Monday... its over... well, at least for me. (D's stuck in office working till now)
Felt kinda tired during work today.(Except when it was lunch time!Hee...)
Took some time out to doodle for today too. Hehe... sense that holiday mood is visible in the doodle? Oh well... feeling drained probably, plus the gloomy weather in the morning didn't do much to help lighten the Monday moodiness.
But the day passed fast, which was a good thing! Now, let's brace ourselves for Tuesday that's looming just ahead. Let's llok at it this way, its 2/5 of the week gone. :)

Sleeping to dream

And I
I'm dreaming of sleeping next to you and feeling like a lost little boy in a brand new town
I'm counting my sheep and each one that passes is another dream to ashes
And they all fall down.

And as I lay me down tonight
I close my eyes
What, what a beautiful sight

Sleeping to dream about you
And I'm so tired
Of having to live without you
But I don't mind
Sleeping to dream about you and I'm so tired

I found myself in the riches
Your eyes, your lips, your hair and you were everywhere
I woke up in the ditches, I hit the light and I thought you might be here
But you were nowhere (you were nowhere)
Well You were nowhere

And as I lay me back to sleep
Lord I pray that I can keep

Sleeping to dream about you
And I'm so tired
Of having to live without you
But I don't mind
Sleeping to dream about you and I'm so tired

It's just a little a lullaby to keep myself from crying myself to sleep at night
Oh just a lullabye to keep from crying myself to sleep
Oh just a, just oh, just a little lullabye,

Sleeping to dream about you
And I'm so tired
Of having to live without you
But I don't mind
Sleeping to dream about you and I'm so tired

Well I'm so, I'm tired
I'm falling, I'm so tired, I'm so tired

Sleeping to dream-Jason Mraz

Well, that's my current listen.....

Saturday....came and gone. Another day has passed.
Fast but yet so slow....(If you know what I mean...)
Its raining again... another rainy night.

D called a while ago. Yupz! He sounds great...BKK sounds even greater! Hehe... Hrmz... wonder when I'll get myself there...??
And Yay! He comes back today! :) See you soon D!

Thoughts late one stormy night

Today, D goes off for his Bangkok trip. (Without me!! Sob sob...miss him...) >.<>

Somedays, I wonder, why I am working so hard for? But give when I feel I wanna give up, looking back at how far I've come, part of me can't bear to. Geez, really, don't know what's the next step I should take.

Today also proved to me that sometimes I should just speak my mind and not worry so much about reactions/feelings of the other party. Its just blind worry and sometimes things are not always as bad as you thought them out to be. I can feel a load off my shoulders right now having said what has been on my mind. I like this, that I am solving one problem at a time. Though some could have been done earlier, its better late than never.

Right now, tossing about in bed. I'm so tired that I can't get to sleep! Strange right?? Its stormy out there now. The sky's red and thunder keeps rumbling. The alcohol from this evening 'Girl's night out' is wearing off... or is it? But why do I feel so strange? Maybe I just miss D... waiting here for sleep to come to me, but how long will I have to wait...?

27

Well, well... I'm 27 today!
Another step nearer to the big "3"! Ha!
Wow...there's been so many changes taking place in the last year. Major ones...
Its quite unbelieveable when I think back about it. But well, I'm just going to look ahead and look forward to what's to come. :)

Just had my little birthday party in the office.(See pics)

Thanks guys, for everything! :) What can I say... A big thank you, lotsa hugs and kisses to everyone who made this day of mine extra special! (From the present from Melbourne to the sms greetings that made my morning!) Oh geez... I'm so loved by you guys I feel like the luckiest person alive at this moment! First time I got a birthday cake and mini celebration at 12am, have lil notes n flowers waiting in the morning at the doors at home and office and came back from my lunch date with Mama and Godma to find a pretty pink bunch of flowers waiting for me!

D, you're so sweet I really dunno what to say! I really am surprised by your surprises! Heehee.... The drawing you did... its SO nice! :) I like it... VERY MUCH! *muacks!*

Countdown: 2!

Break time! Its Doodle for the day! (Missed a few last week!) :P
Yupz yupz! 2 days to go! Hurhurhur.....

How unfortunate! It's going to be a real busy week ahead. Damn it... thot I could have an enjoyable one and maybe even sneak an off day on 'My Day'. But... oh well... (darn! wishful thinking Mat!!) looks like I'll have to work around it.

Monday... wonder why I'm feeling kinda tired today. (I am usually ok on Mondays...)
Oh dear... hope its not the effect of age catching up on me! Ha!
One submission done...another to go!
Hang in there... but time's slipping fast!

Reunion

Met up with Jeanette and Judy for lunch yesterday. Its really been some time since I saw them both! Wow... everyone has changed so much! Its was great to be able to catch up again and talk about all the mischief we went through in secondary school. Those were the crazy days... of terrorising the prefects and teachers!
Class 5B of '95! I'm sure they'll remember us! :P

Aa well, everyone's starting on their own new journeys in life. Jeanette is getting married in October and Judy is getting her Australian P.R and so am I starting on my own 'new road'. Well, all the best to the three of us! Glad our paths crossed along the way! May we always find happiness at the end of whichever road we travel. :)

And oh... on to another topic for the day! (This is the highlight!)

Let's do a countdown...
to Mat's 27 years on this planet!
Today, there's officially 5 days to go!
Hey people, have you bought her presents yet? Time to start thinking what to get!

-No ideas? Clueless? Don't be silly, just give her a call and ask! ;)

Bunny

Its time out from work again!
Looking at today's doodle, I think you should know what this entry is about.
Had a good one to one talk with Mr. Bunny today on his recent bad temper and attitude. (For those of you who don't know, Mr. Bunny a.k.a Small Bunny is the resident rabbit residing in my balcony.)
You see, recently he has been kinda grumps and a little rude too. He head butts my feet for biscuits and grunts/growls at me when its time for him to go back home to his cage. And I have not even gotten on to the topic of his bad toilet manners too. Gee... I hope I have not spoilt him!!?
Anyway, I hope the talk we had this morning would change this a little. He's a dear lil fat fella when he's not grumps and I explained that the common corridor outside is probably no where like his comfy balcony.
Hope he reflects on it during his time alone this afternoon while he is in camp.
(Yes, camp... you read it right! He camps.)

Sunset

Some nice sunset pics I took on my way home a few days ago. I like sunsets. So nice and firery! :) Adds so much color to the normally plain blue sky....

Pinky - Sunsets are so pretty....

Sneak a doodle!

Ok..a 5 minute time-out from doing crappy projects! Here's a doodle for the day! (You know, I think I'm going to try doing one everyday) Ha! A pink bubble, a happy one at that! Hrmz... its best describes my mood for today. :) Yupz! Pink...and happy...pinky bliss! (That's what I'll call it! Plus I've got Saint Etienne blasting right now and a cute kitty on my lap! That's the life!)

Its been a long day for me. Was up since 6.30am this morning. Apparently my battery had reached "full charge" within 3 hours. So, decided to make the best of it and started work early.
And.....
Yupz! I'm done with my deadline for tomorrow! A day ahead! That's a good sign isn't it? After being bogged down with all this junk for the past few days. :) Been glued here on this same spot all day getting it over and done with! And the time just flew past! Gonna start on the next one and finish it before the end of the day. Hang in there!
Mid-week... here I come. :)

Oakdale Cats

Thot I'd put up spme pics of the 3 cuties at Oakdale!
There's Princess (with the pretty blue eyes),
Puddles (snozzing on the couch one afternoon) and...
Meow meow (the fat cat sitting up!).

They're all just so cute and rolly polly. :)

/- Meoww!!

A Saturday night

Wow....what a hectic work week but I've made it through to Saturday.
Downed 2.5 out of 4 deadlines this morning and I'm feeling really good!

Had a great evening that just upped this level of feeling good! :)

Went to see the Printmaking exhibit at the Esplanade.
Really brings me back to my days in NAFA, sitting in the printmaking room and carving away on my block of wood. (And got rewarded with splinters and a good print!) Ha... miss all that! Strange it all seems so long ago...

We had dinner at a quaint little place at the Singapore Flying Club.
Wow... I never thought a place like that existed in Singapore. Its really quiet and feels so untouched. Nice... Wonder how is it like to live there... (There are some really nice houses with big compounds there!)

Then walked dinner off with a stroll along ECP (Haven't been here since goodness knows when!) and got to watch people fishing at the jetty before heading home.

I think tonight has kinda relaxed me good some sorts. Hey! Just what I need for my tough week ahead. Thanks D!
Okays...lights out soon! (Flea & Easy tomorrow!)

-/Oops... I think I've fallen and I can't get up. At least not now, 'coz I don't mind sitting here in euphoria.

Weekend....finally.....

Oh wow....its finally the weekend! Had an insane weekand of deadlines, meetings and more deadlines and I think there's another week like that coming up next week! I am now behind time on a few projects and have clients chasing me! :( Oh manz! I need 2 of me!! Ha...sometimes I really wonder how long I can go on like this. Holiday..... I need one so badly!! Geez. :(

Was hoping I could relax a little on the weekend but now I just got an urgent job in that I have to attend to on Saturday morning. Ha! There goes my "I dun work weekends" rule.(Yes, I am THAT busy!) But I will take a little break and go out in the evening. :)

Didn't get the Flea market stall for Sunday. Sigh.... was looking forward to it. haha... but now dunno if I had gotten it would I have energy to run it? Maybe its all working out well too. :P

Ok... time to get some sleep soon. I know my client is going to bug me in the morning. Nite!

My Tarot Card Reading

I am The Empress

The Empress can refer to any aspect of Motherhood. She can be an individual mother, but as a major arcana card, she also goes beyond the specifics of mothering to its essence - the creation of life and its sustenance through loving care and attention. The Empress can also represent lavish abundance of all kinds. She offers a cornucopia of delights, especially those of the senses - food, pleasure and beauty. She can suggest material reward, but only with the understanding that riches go with a generous and open spirit. The Empress asks you to embrace the principle of life and enjoy its bountiful goodness.

Closing a chapter

Today...today is a significant day in my life. I've finally closed the chapter of 7 years. It should have been done earlier, if I hadn't been procrastinating.

Its kinda sad that things had to turn out this way. But its probably for the best. I know we've had some good times together and I'm glad we did. Keep those happy memories. 7 years was a long time. Maybe too long. I guess somehow along we lost it, that feeling, it just all went dead. Maybe you never realised it coz it slowly creeped in the door, or maybe you did too, but you being you, hoped that nothing was wrong and that somehow, we would get back to how we were before.
Unfortunately, some things when lost can't be found back.

I've let go. In fact I think I let go on that day I passed you that letter. I was really sad too that I had to be writing you all that, but those were the truth and the truth mostly hurts. But things seemed like were all headed for the end too. Why did you say all those things when its already too late? (When you chose to remain silent all the while before) Gee. Maybe, maybe someday when we look back, we'll will realise where it all went wrong. I had to do what I did and say what I said coz it was all stuck for so long (if you knew, the situation made me miserable) and dragging on like that would not do either of us any good. But still, thanks for everything you've done for me. I know you're feeling sad, but it'll pass and I hope you'll be able to move on. (Though I know I probably won't ever be able to tell you all these and you'll probably never read this either.)

I'm glad its finally over. *relieved* (I must thank my momsy, lucky for me that she was around.)
No. Not that I am beaming right now though. In fact, its quite the opposite. I feel shitty...coz i feel bad. Yeah...I've just made someone miserable and I hate that feeling. But I guess it will pass one day. Honestly, its better this way. I feel like a ton is off my shoulder. I got to say what I wanted to say and got the message across. Its a closure for me, for us. Now I just hope both parties can now move on and get over it.

Lately, a lot has been happening around me. And I really mean a lot!
So now, here I am on a fresh page. A new chapter.(At 3am in the morning) A little apprehensive, but intrigued too. So many possibilities on this new road ahead
...and everyone has been telling me: Change is good. Really have to thank everyone for being around. If any of you are reading this, thanks for the support, really! Glad I have you all around to travel along this road with me. It makes me feel a lot better knowing I've got you guys around! Thanks.

Everybody's gotta learn sometime

Oh, here I am, standing at another crossroad in my life, wondering which way I should take. So many questions going around my head and decisions to make.
Many things to let go off and so much new things to know.

Read this phrase from my current read which I find very true.
"If we don't get lost, we'll never find a new route."

Wow....I think it really applies to me right now.

Dim Sum Dollies

Caught Dim Sum Dollies just now at the Esplanade with Derek. It was great! It was witty! It was hilarious! It was a full house sellout! I'm so glad I caught it before it wrapped up its season. *Thanks Derek! Would have really missed out. Hehe* The cast were all really funny. I like the whole thing...from the script to the stage set up. I think we both enjoyed it and I haven't laughed this much for a long time.

Yeah...so DimSumDollies have made my weekend a good one! :)

And got to catch up with Karen and Ker Jia over dinner/light snack.
That was good too. :)

A day out on a MTV Shoot

Thursday was MTV day. Went along with Mark n Jo as they were kinda shorthanded for their shoot. Partly also because I wanted to experience it a little and also to take a look at the locations. My job for the day was to flim the "making of/behind the scenes" video. Downside was that I had to start out at 5.30am. Can't remember the last time I woke up that early!!

We all met up in office and moved off at about 6am. 7 of us squeezed into a bright yellow van (transport for the day) together with loads of equiptment and were on our way to Location No.1 for the day: Changi Sand Quarry. Wow...I've certainly never been to one. Travalled around changi for a bit as we got kinda lost. But it was ok with the cool morning breeze blowing into the van and the nice view I got. Passed by the runways of the airport, saw a plane landing. Something I've always liked to see :)

We finally found lampost 147! Location marker...on a lampost!!!? That's how ulu is the place is. It really looked it to. We had a bumpy ride in as there was no more road...just sand tracks. After bumping along for sometime, we finally came to the location point. Time to begin setting up.

Wah... I really must say...despite the ulu-less, this place was kinda special! So many nice textures and interesting photos to take. There
was an unused runway and one in use just next to it, behind a barbed wire fence. The whole place was, erm, well, sandy! But I liked it. I really don't see any way I'll ever come here again!

Weather wasn't very good. It was sunny at first but as the day passed, the clouds rolled in. And soon, it was raining. No, wait... pouring!! And super windy. The kind where you can hear the wind blowing pass your ear. Brrr... We had to halt shooting a few times due to the on and off showers and that made us fall behind time on schedule.

Oh
. And while we were there a family of doggies came up to say hello and probably look for food. Poor things! They were all skinny! :( I had to give my bread to them. I think they needed it more than me. They were cute coz they waited patiently for me to throw them the bread pieces. After our friendly encounter with each other, they kind of hung around during the whole shoot, coming up to the van whenever I went there. :)

Despite being wild dogs, i thought the Mama dog was really sweet looking actually. Aww.....
We finally wrapped up the shoot at about 2pm and headed back out into civilization again. Byebye doggies! Take care! :(
On to lunch and location 2. Mitre Hotel at Killney Road.

Most of us were staving by then!

For those of you who have never been or heard of Mitre Hotel, hehe, well, let's just say that its not your everyday, normal kind of hotel. For one thing, Mitre Hotel is 140 years old and definately looks like it has not been renovated or cleaned for 140 years! Well, it sure is quaint, old, erm..musty and... not to mention it looks like it is falling apart! Good to know that it is currently being refurbished coz it would probably be declared structually unsafe if not done so soon.

The entrance to Mitre is an old, worn out gate and the hotel is atop the slope. Don't remember seeing any sign board or indication that its a hotel from out there. But it apprently has a good following with many expats here. The rooms are on the 2nd floor which we did not get to see as only tenants are allowed up. I can't imagine how the rooms would look like really. Mitre has a mixed up collection of retro, vintage, old looking chairs. The
real authentic kind... probably a collection made up over 140 years!
Below are some pics of this special place. Shooting went on here till 12am. Haha...of coz by then I had already called it a day. It was an interesting experience but also a tiring day!
