New Kitchen

Oh yes, the kitchen was up and ready for quite a while.
Real glad the reno was over.
Here's some 'before-during-after' pictures of the revamped kitchen!



Tried out the new oven over the weekend and made a small batch of cinnamon cupcakes.

Kinda missed my good old oven a bit while I was baking. :S
I think it made the best cakes still.
The new one is ok, but I think its takes a little getting used to the temperature, timing and stuff. Anyway, the cakes turned out ok though! :)

Flushed Away

Watched Flushed Away and I found it really funny!
Some really hilarious bits in the movie. Great entertainment. :)
I especially like the slugs. How cute! What talent! Heehhee

Couldn't get to bake one coz of my kitchen reno, but i still could make one!
HEehehhe.... D's favourite Blackforest!
Stuffed fuzzy cake... won't mould... won't melt and it don't need a fridge! :)

PSI was 103 they said, but I thought it looked worse.

Looks bad eh? Wonder how long its going to last.... :S

Over the weekend we went to get zoo supplies at the pet shop.
Look what we saw there that day!
Here's 2 month old Bubbles the little Shih Tzu!
He was sitting on the cashier counter enjoying all the attention.
Hehehe.. so cute, this tiny little fur ball! :)

Makes anyone feel like having one too! Hehe...

Dust! :(

Sigh... lately there's dust everywhere...
There's dust in the house and haze outside.
The kitchen and bathrooms are being renovated and we're living in dusty times now.
and just when you thought opening the windows would be good ventilation,
there you have bad haze outside...
Sigh...
Dusty days ahead! ><

Cuppy cakes

Decided to try making fancy cupcakes for a mid-autmn festival party that I was going to. Also, was inspired after having seen pictures of pretty cupcakes of late in magazines and online. It was fun decorating the little cupcakes and thinking of what to put on them and how to make them pretty. But its tough to make pretty decorations while having to stay off the food colorings and fancy colored bits. Hehehhe... :)

Anyways, there's nothing like baking up a good batch of cupcakes!
It might also be the last batch that I'll be baking with my trusty old oven. *sniff*
So that makes it all the more memorable.

Azaru Sabo

Have been wanting to try out the food here and finally got to last weekend.
I tried the Soyabean milk udon. Hehee... weird eh? But actually, it tasted quite good.

The soft ice-cream in the dessert was a bit too sweet, but i thought it was still rather yummy with the chewy rice dumplings and agar cubes. :P


I like looking at the plastic food they have out in the display at the front of the shop! everything looks so real and yummy... Hehehe... it kinda makes the real food they serve seem a little pale in comparison.
