Limitations

Reading an article in the New Paper yesterday reminded me that we all have limitations, both physically and mentally. And when your body starts giving you signs and signals that you're reaching or have passed your limits, you'd better heed those warnings.

I sometimes think its pretty sad that we're all working so hard to have a better quality of life, but in that process we are actually doing very much the oposite. We slog and work hard, putting in extra hours to earn those extra dollars. Sometimes I really wonder if its worth it. But in a society where everyone seems eager to climb up ladders and achieve wonders, I think its pretty hard to drill in the idea that we all have limitations.

Even with that article of the poor girl, May, who lost her life to work, I am not surprised that the warning will fall on deaf ears. Or maybe people just choose to adopt the "It won't happen to me" attitude and forget about it, the thought drowned out by the rush of work. I think its just sad.

After reading her blog, and thinking about her story I realise that life is actually very fragile. Here today, gone tomorrow and all those things you'd wanted to do, left undone.

Its like getting lost in our busy work routine. The routine which is pretty much the same everyday: stress, deadlines, stress, rush.. never ending work to do. Hmm... pretty much like a dog chasing its own tail; getting worked up, going round and round but getting nowhere much.

Sigh, even though I dun even know her, my deepest condolences go out to her family.
Really hope not to read another article on a smiliar case again. Coz life is just too precious to end like this.

i can't agree more with you. Strange death happened nowadays. Life so fragile. Take time to relax, we really should learn to pamper ourselves. Life just too short.
