Fishies!
After lots of thinking, I decided to get me a little fish tank for my desk at work.
Also thought it would do my cute plant (its a pennywort) some good, since after I read that it was an aquatic plant.
Placed some of the shells that I had found during my recent holiday as tank deco.
So it was off to the fish/pet shop during lunch hour.
And I came back with 3 hyper guppies and a cute little prawn! =)
I like the prawn! I think it looks very cute with its little limbs and beady eyes!
Getting the new residents adjusted to the water temperature.
The three hyper fishies!
And here's the cute prawn. Poor fella got bullied and pecked by the 3 hyper fish.
Here's a pic of my 2 favourite residents! =)
The tank fits in well with all the stuff on my table!

Lethargy...
Felt real lethargic today, sitting at my desk and staring into my computer screen. And time always seems to crawl by when I am in this state. Aww geez, the days passing by at snail's pace... productivity level's probably at ground ZERO... I think the heat contributes to this feeling as well.
So anyway, took a mental time out and searched out 'Lethargy' on the web just for the fun of it... look what I found...
Psyching yourself out
"By mimicking the sympathetic reactions to a threatening environment (sitting up straight, standing, moving quickly, deeper breathing), it appears to be possible to activate the sympathetic system, which then takes over. We are ready to act, or in our case, be productive. We can also change our environment to one that causes the sympathetic system to activate, one that is more spartan, threatening, or simply uncomfortable. The result? We take action. We are more productive."
I remembered I used to stand while working. Hehe... haven't done that for sometime now. Friends thought I was weird when they dropped by the office and saw me bending over my desk, typing/clicking away. But it made me feel better. Maybe we breathe better standing up. So, see, I wasn't weird was I. At least it helped. So, I am standing up now, typing this, and gee, I feel better already!
My lethargic day... I think I feel like how my plant felt yesterday...
Oh, let me tell you about my poor plant. When I got into office yesterday after the long weekend, it looked like this: (which was how I was feeling a while ago...)
But good thing was that after some water and sunlight constantly during the day, it slowly started to look better. And by the end of the day, it looked like it was going back to its old self... though it still looks a a little shaken today.
Ok, so now that I'm feeling better already, its time to get back to work... but not before I water my plant first! And boy am I glad its gym night tonight. =)

Weekend away
Just a week ago, last weekend, got a break and a bunch of us went over to our friend's resort in Bintan, Indonesia. Its my 2nd trip there but I still find the place interesting and still as rustic. (despite my friend's ideas of modernising it here and there)
Rustic is good... makes it feel more like you've gone on a break, not being surrounded with the usual television, radio and air-cons.
Took a boat out and got to explore a small island (it only has 2 people living on it!!) that was somewhere in the middle of the sea. It had white sand and nice blue water. We explored around, took along some food for a picnic, walked out as far as we could to see the corals and fishes (for me it was till when the water passed chest level and I started to get worried coz I can't swim) and we also played frisbee in the shallow blue water.
We were lucky the weather was great and we all came back with nice tans!
